As you well know, there are literally billions of website pages out there. But along with the growth of the Internet, the advent of videos has brought in a sort of a revolution. More people spend time watching videos online than reading today. Videos are semi-mindless to watch and absorb. People don't have a lot of patience, so they prefer to 'watch and learn' rather than go through any other type of content. Marketers long ago recognized the value in using video to offer their content. You're not restricted to using only video sharing sites because you can put them on your own website - as you know. Presenting content and marketing messages is how they're used, and it can be much more effective than other mediums. You can use video marketing with great results, so let's talk about that.
Once you get serious about things and decide to enter video marketing with the right mindset, you can increase traffic to your site(s) and become an expert in your niche. Although video marketing will never become oversaturated, it will become more competitive so now is the best time to get involved so you can become an expert video marketer and be light-years ahead of other marketers. Once people in your niche start to recognize you they will grow to trust you. Gaining expert status has its perks; for one, you will never have to look for customers because they will seek you out and, second, you can build a brand of products around your name. It even reaches a point where all an expert has to do is put their name on something or endorse it and the product will sell thousands of copies, sometimes more. I know that many people hate the word guru but if you pay attention, they use video marketing a lot.
It's true that search engines index videos in a separate and different manner than regular content is indexed. Therefore, video doesn't present the same issues with duplicate content that written content suffers. So for example if you submit the same articles to many directories they will not all show up due to duplicate content filtering. Videos submitted to certain major sites are not all viewed the same, and your results will generally be better - all things considered.
Videos increase the amount of time that visitors stay on your pages. Text on a page usually is not read completely through, people will scan until something comes along that catches their interest. The smart marketer will change with the times and start to take advantage of the power that videos have over people. And if your video has a personal touch, it will help you build a relationship with the visitors.
If it's getting tougher for you to rank well in search, then video marketing is a proven and effective alternative you may want to consider.
Remember also video works exceedingly well for affiliate marketing, so, for example, if you are promoting a product about a link building service called the unique article wizard review, do a video tutorial showing how to use the product, its features etc. If you're honest and open to your viewers you will likely get a lot more sales.
